Always aware of the fact that a good wine is not accomplished without an excellent quality raw material, the grape, Bodegas Bórbore has committed itself to the soil of San Juan, where the quality and health of the vineyards is assured. The great temperature range characteristic of semi desert climates, together with the abundant sun let us get wines with a great concentration of flavors and fruity aromas, and an excellent formation of tannins that are distinctive to each varietal.

Our Vineyards
The company owns 325 has. of vineyards divided into five properties (fincas) situated in different viticultural areas from San Juan. Finca “Angaco”, at the foot of the Pie de Palo mountain range, surrounding the winery; Finca “Cochagual” in the south extreme of the Tulum Valley; the Fincas “Las Palmeras” and “Santa Filomena” to the northeast of the same valley; and the finca “Cañada Honda”, in the spot with the same name, with irrigation and fertilization controlled by a trickle irrigation system.

Trying to diversify the varieties and the restructuring of the fine grapes, the winery has incorporated new stocks of a high enological quality, grown in systems of high trellises: Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Barbera and Bonarda, among the red varieties; and Chardonnay, Chenin, Viogner, Torrontés and Pedro Jiménez, among the white ones. The stocks chosen are rigorously controlled from the pruning, the train of the new shoots, the manure and the irrigation, till the harvest, at its optimal ripeness.
