The winery and vineyards are located in the Tulum Valley that runs from north to south in the center meridional part of the province, at 31º- 32º latitude south and at an approximate height of 600 to 900 meters over sea level, between the Andes to the west and the Pie de Palo mountain range.

This is an area of alluvial soils, irrigated by pure waters coming from the thaws of the Andes mountain range and distributed through a large system of irrigation channels.

An excellent sun radiation, scarce rains and very good exposure to air of the vineyards by the prevailing soft breeze, make San Juan a favorable place for the growth of the vine, mainly with an enological aim. With a special microclimate, San Juan is the second national producer of grape for winemaking, with an annual produce that equals the annual production of our neighboring country, Chile. Its liquorice wines should be highlighted also due to the high sugary richness the grape reaches when it is ripe.

Competitiveness Advantages
Nowadays San Juan province is opening itself up to new directions within the Argentinean viticulture. Bórbore Winery is part of this rapid growth. It offers wine consumers an excellent level, with a good quality-price relation and a personality that expresses the characteristics of its land.
